How To Point GoDaddy Domain Name Hostgator Hosting:
Login to your Hostgator cPanel account, by going yourdomain.com/cpanel. And click on Service Info from the left side menu, and right side you’ll see DNS INFO tab which shows your Hostgator Nameservers. See below screenshot.

Just copy your nameserver names. All you need to do is go and Login to GoDaddy domain manager and change the domain name server to point it to Hostgator. See below screenshot to understand how it’s done.
Login to your GoDaddy Dashboard:
First, click on DOMAINS tab, and select the domain name which you want to point to Hostgator and Click on Manage DNS
On the next screen, you’ll see Nameservers tab click on Change and select “Custom” from the drop-down menu, and type your Hostgator Nameservers and Hit Save button. See the screenshot.
Note: When you click on Custom from the drop-down menu you’ll see an empty field, Just click on Add Nameserver button, and type your Hostgator Nameserver names.
And hit Save button and your Godaddy domain name will be pointed to Hostgator hosting.
Wait for five mins for changes(sometimes it will take hours for the nameservers to propagate on the internet). Just refresh the page if you see your Hostgator’s nameservers, Then go and Add this domain to Hostgator hosting account using Addon Domain feature.
