For this guide, I’ll use real screenshots to point GoDaddy domain name to Bluehost hosting.
This is a very simple process and all you need to do is modify the Nameservers of the domain on Godaddy to point to Bluehost hosting.
Sign Up for Bluehost account. Free domain name included.
After completing this process use Bluehost Addon Domain features to add these domains to your Bluehost account. By the end, your domain will still be on Godaddy, but you can install Website on them using Bluehost hosting.
Point Godaddy Domain Bluehost:
Go and log in to your Godaddy account, Click on DOMAINS, and click on Manage DNS of the domain. See picture below
On next screen, Click on Change button and select CUSTOM from the drop-down menu, finally, type your Bluehost Nameserver and hit save button. See the below screenshot.
Here are Bluehost default Nameservers.
Now, it will take 5 mins to 4 hrs for changes to reflect globally. After that now you can add this domain to your Bluehost account, and install WordPress, Joomla or Drupal CMS to launch a Website or a Blog. Next, you have to add this domain to Bluehost using Addon domain feature.
