Addon Domains cPanel: This process needs to be done from Bluehost cPanel
In this tutorial, I’m using a domain which I bought from Godaddy for .99 cents and I’m going to add it as an addon domain to Bluehost account. After completing this process I can install WordPress, Joomla or Drupal CMS or any other blogging platform on addon domain using Bluehost Mojo marketplace, earlier it was known as Simple scripts.
Before you proceed further first thing you need to do is, point out your domain Name servers to Bluehost hosting. If you have bought a domain from NameCheap or any other domain registrar, the process will be same. What you just need to do is log in to your domain control panel and look out for Nameserver field.

- Go to Bluehost.com and login to your account.
First, click on domains at the top, and click on Assign.

Step1 and 2: Type your domain name which you are going to add as an addon domain to your Bluehost account.
In Step2 as soon as you finish typing your GoDaddy domain name, Bluehost will automatically verify the ownership of your domain name, by checking name server of the domain name. Bluehost also give you alternate ways to prove your domain ownership (Ex: Upload a sample file). It is useful when you are planning to migrate an existing Website to Bluehost, as this will minimize the downtime.
Setp3: Addon Domain or Parked Domain:
In this step, you’re going to add your domain as addon domain or parked domain. Addon domain is suggested when you are going to start a new WordPress Blog on your new domain.
If you want your new domain to point to your primary website of your Bluehost account, use parked domain feature. Since your requirement is to host multiple Web sites, you are going to use addon domain future.
Step4: Bluehost domain manager will be automatically using your domain name to give a directory to the domain name.
Domain directory structure will look like is public_html/newdomain. Lets me make it easy for you.
- Files related to your primary domain is directly under the public_html of your Bluehost account.
